Air Mata Kucing, which translates to “cat’s tears”, is a Malaysian drink made from longan, monk fruit, sugar, and water.

The drink is said to have originated in the state of Kelantan and is often served during festivals and special occasions.

The longan fruit is rich in vitamins and minerals, making it an excellent choice for a refreshing beverage. Monkfruit, on the other hand, is a low-calorie sweetener that provides a guilt-free way to enjoy the sweetness of Air Mata Kucing.

It is not hard to find this local colorful dessert. From street vendors to restaurants, it is everywhere! This fresh treat is also known as iced beans or shaved ice. The original ais kacang was made of shaved ice and red beans but now in addition to red beans, the main ingredients for the most variants are palm seed, sweet corn, grass jelly, and peanuts. Furthermore, uncommon ingredients are aloe vera and ice cream. Condensed or coconut milk is poured on top of this small-mountain-shape dessert along with different kinds of syrups.

Kopi is made by roasting Robusta coffee beans over an open fire. The beans are roasted until they are nearly black, and then they are ground into a fine powder. To make a cup of kopi, the coffee powder is combined with boiling water and condensed milk.
